Recent LRH Awards and Recognitions

Some of the 3,000 awards and recognitions including keys to cities and streets, parks and days named for L. Ron Hubbard.

The Charioteer (16” x 15” high) Doctor Yusef Merchant of India, who has 80,000 doctors under him and is president of India’s Drug Abuse Information Rehabilitation and Research Centre (DAIRRC) presented this “Charioteer” to LRH in recognition of his drug rehabilitation tech. Dr. Merchant is implementing the full Narconon program in India through his Centre. The inscription reads: “With appreciation and thanks to L. Ron Hubbard, the Spiritual Charioteer of the Millennium, for his lifetime of humanitarian works dedicated to the betterment of all mankind...” The “charioteer” is Krishna, who is the eighth earthly reincarnation of the Hindu god Vishnu (the god of sustenance.) Krishna destroyed evil powers and according to Hindu lore, Krishna, while a charioteer, enlightened the soldier Arjuna (passenger in the chariot) of the evil ways of war and the world. It was with this enlightenment that truth prevailed with Arjuna and ended a battle. The dialogue between Krishna and Arjuna comprises the Hindu book, Bhagavad gita.

London Independent Locals Ltd., Annual Award (12” x 12”) David W. Hetherington, editor of the London Local Independent Newspapers, came to Saint Hill and presented his newspaper’s award. Mr. Hetherington wanted to acknowledge LRH for his drug rehab tech because the Purification Program saved his son’s life. The inscription reads: “The London Independent Locals Ltd., Annual Award for services to the community presented in recognition of L. Ron Hubbard and his discoveries in the field of drug rehabilitation.”

The Golden Mic Award (8” wide x 13” high) Presented to LRH by the National Radio Programs Association of South Africa. The inscription reads: “With gratitude from the community radio stations in South Africa to our friend, L. Ron Hubbard, for giving hope, answers and solutions to the people of Africa.”
